LossScout Lead Alerts: SMS opt-in

LossScout LLC sends lead alert text messages to employees of property restoration and reconstruction companies that subscribe to LossScout. Each user opts in for their own mobile number. Text messages are optional and are not required to use LossScout.

How users opt in

1. A subscribing company’s administrator invites an employee by email from the LossScout web app.
2. The employee opens the invitation link, which leads to the account setup page at app.lossscout.com/invite. The page requires a private, single-use invitation link, so it is reproduced below.
3. To receive text messages, the employee enters their own mobile number and checks the unchecked “Send me SMS lead alerts” box. The consent disclosure is displayed directly beside the box.
4. Leaving the box unchecked creates the account with no text messages. Administrators cannot opt anyone else in.

What subscribers receive

Real-time alerts about property-loss incidents, such as structure fires, in the counties their company subscribes to, with a link to the lead in the LossScout web app. An example:
